Between October 20th and 22th 2016 the village of Alguaire, in Catalonia, will be hosting the 9th Conference about Agrarian systems, social organization and local power, as this year is about to “Historic Irrigation: Peasants, History and Heritage”.
Ferran Esquilache, collaborator in Landscapes of Conquest team, will take part whit the paper “Una herència reconstruïda. Canvis físics i institucionals en les hortes fluvials andalusines després de la conquesta cristiana” (translation: A rebuilt legacy. Physical and institutional changes in Andalusian river irrigated areas (hortes) after the Christian conquest).
